VCA takes pride in expanding the growth and skill set of new veterinarians. We welcome newly graduated veterinarians (and current veterinary students) to apply to this position where they will receive individualized support with our 6-month mentorship program and a collaborative hospital team environment.
At VCA County West, we’ll give you the tools and guidance needed to practice best quality medicine. We are the only AAHA accredited clinic in our county and work with several local shelters. We are also a Gold Level Feline Friendly Practice as recognized by the AAFP. Our staff works hard to practice Fear Free techniques and Low Stress handling skills. We offer grooming and boarding services, ultrasound, cold laser therapy, comprehensive wellness plan options, and more.
We are currently looking to fill a full-time position. Schedule includes a set 4 days/week (M-F) and a rotating half day on Saturday. Applicants looking for a part-time position will also be considered.
We are located about 1 ½ hours south of Chicago, right along the Kankakee River. There are plenty of outdoor adventure opportunities at nearby Kankakee River State Park.
