At the Veterinary Medical Center of CNY, we are passionate about enhancing veterinary medicine and culture by developing proficient, resilient clinicians to confidently lead the future of emergency medicine. We achieve this with an intentional cultivation of life/work balance, providing direct mentorship, hands on learning, communication and leadership training, and a cohesive team who understands the importance value of emergency veterinary medicine.
Emergency Clinician Immersion Program Goals
Led by the Director of Emergency Development (DVM, 7+ year ER experience) and the Medical Director (DVM, DACVECC), the Immersion Program provides a supportive and challenging environment for veterinarians interested in working in the rewarding field of emergency medicine. This comprehensive program will supply the structure for clinicians to gain proficiency in emergency medicine in an efficient, medically advanced, financially responsible, compassionate, and emotionally healthy manner. With continued resources and support, direct mentorship, and a wide variety of cases, the clinician will graduate from the program with the ability, confidence, and emotional resilience to not only continue, but truly enjoy a career in veterinary emergency medicine.
