Life is too short to be miserable at work. Animal Health and Wellness Hospital is a privately-owned, 3 doctor small-animal practice in Rural Hall, North Carolina, a suburb of Winston-Salem. Due to the practice's fast growth, our team is expanding! We are in search of a DVM who practices high-quality medicine in a team-orientated environment. We serve mainly dogs and cats but will see exotic pets if the individual doctor desires- your choice! Our hospital is equipped with digital radiographs, IDEXX Lab suite, companion laser therapy, dental radiographs, and ultrasound.
We are very open to starting an integrative part of our practice since there is a need in our area for that style of practice. Also, we receive referrals for our work with FIP treatment and follow up!

Winston Salem is home to Wake Forest University as well as multiple sports complexes and performing arts venues. Truist Ballpark is nationally ranked and home to the Dash--a minor-league baseball team for the Chicago White Sox. Winston's cobble-stone street historic district features museums, art galleries, and an assortment of fine dining. It is 20 minutes from tourist attractions like Pilot Mountain. It is an easy drive from Winston Salem to the eclectic mountain town of Asheville and the Biltmore Estate or the metropolitan cities of Charlotte or Raleigh.
We are in search of a DVM who shares our commitment to patient care and customer service. We welcome new ideas and therapies, particularly integrative medicine as we would like to develop that area of our practice. Interest in surgery is welcome but not necessary. Our current doctors can perform intricate soft tissue surgeries such as perineal urethrostomies which they are willing to teach to new associates. We have a traveling specialist surgeon who regularly visits our practice to perform certain orthopedic surgeries such as TPLOs or complicated fracture repair. Continuing education is highly supported not only for veterinarians but also for our staff. Staff to doctor ratio is 3:1 and your assistants are highly trained to take radiographs, place IV catheters, draw blood, intubate surgical patients, read ear and urine cytology, perform medical treatments as needed, and run in house blood analyzers. All appointments are 30 minutes in length and several appointments per day are blocked out for same day sick patients. Drop off patient time is also blocked in the schedule. We schedule a daily 2 hour break for catch up and lunch. And best of all, our last appointment is scheduled at 5:00pm so that everyone goes home at 6:00pm!
We are a 3 doctor small animal practice in Rural Hall, NC(suburb of Winston Salem). Our growing practice has a loyal clientele and experienced support staff(3:1 staff to doctor ratio). We have in hospital blood machines, ultrasound, dental radiology, Class IV laser therapy, and digital radiology. Doctors enjoy a 4 to a 4 1/2 day week with no emergency night or weekend calls. Generous benefits and PTO are also included. We maintain a very relaxed atmosphere with 30 minute scheduled appts. and blocked off time for surgery, dentals, and emergencies. We usually take our last appointment at 5:00pm and start at 9:00am so there is plenty of time for patient care and client communication. We see appts. on alternating Saturdays from 9am to 11:30am. There is an emergency/specialty hospital in the city if needed for referral.
