Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our locally-owned AAHA accredited hospital. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess a strong knowledge of veterinary practices. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can make a difference in the lives of animals and their owners.
Duties
- Conduct physical examinations
- Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries in animals
- Perform surgical procedures as needed
- Prescribe medications and follow-up care plans
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and nutrition
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members
Qualifications
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine from an accredited institution
- State licensure to practice veterinary medicine
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and best practices
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with canine and feline care
- Soft tissue surgical experience
- Dentistry experience
- Eagerness to learn if a new grad or returning to clinical practice
