Parker Veterinary Clinic of Parker, SD is a 2 man mixed animal practice established in 1980. We are 65% large animal, mostly cow/calf with a few large dairies from 500 to 7000 cows. There are always a few horses, sheep and goats with an occasional llama/alpaca. The small animal is predominantly dogs and cats. We have haul in facilities with corral and hydraulic chute and tilt table. We stress herd health concepts in all species. We have blood hematology and chemistry machines, a portable x ray unit, and ultrasound machines for reproductive work. We do all kinds of small animal surgeries from normal spays and neuters to amputations, C sections, and bladder stone removal. We are looking for an associate who will practice quality medicine and also treat the clients with honesty and respect. We have a good number of young clients coming back to the farm. The right DVM will be offered buy-in opportunity. Parker is located about 30 miles southwest of Sioux Falls which is the largest city in South Dakota. It has lots of large city activities. We also have lots of hunting and fishing options.
Parker Veterinary clinic was formed in 1980 and has been growing ever since. Currently we have two veterinarians and would like to add another. We find that hosting externs is a good way to get students to learn about our practice. We are 65% large animal and the rest mostly dogs and cats. The large animal is mostly cow/calf but we are working for a few dairies that have from 800 to 7000 cows. There are always some horses and some sheep and goats. The small animal is growing. We do the routine spays and neuters but will also get c sections, amputations, bladder stone cystotomies, lacerations and others. We have a haul-in facility for large animal which is used a lot. But we still go out to the farms as needed. We enjoy hydraulic chutes and a hydraulic tilt table. We are equipped with ultrasound machines for reproductive work and have hematology and blood chemistry machines. We also use a portable x ray unit. The practice has grown and is maintained with principles of honesty and integrity.
