student in your 2nd to 4th year seeking externships or a recent graduate searching for the ideal 
clinic to guide you as a new veterinarian, O’Brien Veterinary Group offers exceptional teams 
dedicated to fostering and nurturing the next generation of veterinarians within a positive, 
collaborative, and encouraging environment.
For students, our externship program offers flexibility, a personalized approach to meet your 
specific requirements, and matches you with the right clinic to help you achieve your goals. We 
offer up to $600/week in reimbursement for housing, meals, and travel. 
Veterinary students will have the opportunity to gain experience in but not limited to:
• Gathering patients' medical histories
• Performing comprehensive physical exams
• Formulating and implementing diagnostic and therapeutic care plans
• Scrubbing-in and assisting with surgical procedures
• Help supervising DVM manage various medical cases
• Providing patient care
• Refining client communication skills
• Honing clinical and technical skills
