Loveland Veterinary Clinic Is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to help with our continued growth! We offer daytime hours with rotating Saturdays, no Sundays or on call.
We are a busy four-doctor small animal (mainly dog and cat) practice in peaceful Loveland Colorado. Recently voted “best in Loveland” by the community!
Our Facility
Brand new facility opened 2023. We have a surgical suite, a dental suite with 2 tables and radiology, a full glassed in floor to ceiling recovery kennels, 6 exam rooms including a comfort room, acupuncture and laser therapy, a DVM office with windows to view into the treatment/lab/pharmacy area as well as a window that will allow some viewing into our isolation area as well.
We are located just south of Fort Collins and CSU and very close proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park. Job Responsibilities
- Builds rapport with clients by gathering information, listening to, and empathizing with their concerns
- Performs physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures
- Communicates with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive health care, and nutritional needs.
- Maintains client/patient medical/surgical records and makes certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols.
- Stays current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine.
- Assists in the development of the support team to ensure delivery of quality care and exceptional client service.
- Presents a positive image of the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
Skills and Basic Qualifications
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
- Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Colorado.
- Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics.
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Works collaboratively with hospital team members.
- Makes decisions confidently and effectively.
- Manages time and tasks appropriately.
- Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients.
- Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth
- Good surgical and dental skills a must
