Want to work in an environment where you can continue to grow and learn each day while providing excellent patient care? Do you enjoy teaching and providing mentorship to students? The University of Florida is looking for two emergency veterinarians to join our team of 19 faculty members in ECC (9 emergency veterinarians, 10 criticalists). We offer exceptional clinical service encompassing intensive care, emergency services and hemodialysis/nephrology at our VECCS Level 1 and AAHA certified referral center in Gainesville, Florida as well as our state-of-the-art emergency practice UF PETS in Ocala, Florida. If you have considered academia before but never made the jump, call us – we love what we do and would be excited to share our experiences with you. A successful applicant would be heavily involved in primary emergency patient care, as well as instruction and supervision of veterinary students. Responsibilities will vary based on experience.
Gainesville and Ocala are located in north central Florida; there are many opportunities for outdoor recreation including close proximity to beautiful beaches, gulf coast fishing towns, crystal clear warm water springs and unique wildlife.
UF aspires to provide an exceptional academic environment that reflects the breadth of thought essential to preeminence and manifests through a community of students, faculty, and staff of diverse experiences and backgrounds. We are committed to creating an inclusive, equitable culture and employing a diverse community. UF participates in state- and university-sponsored benefits programs for individuals, families, and domestic partners. At the University of Florida, we know that the quality of our life and the quality of our work are interdependent -- and, as such, we place a high value on the health and wellbeing of our faculty and staff as well as their families. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience of the candidate.
All applicants must apply online through Careers at UF in order to be considered for the position.
