Housing is provided on site to externs if needed. Laundry facilities, showers, microwave, internet, fridge are included.

Kendall Road Equine Hospital is offering an externship to veterinary students.
Assist the veterinarians and technicians with daily appointments, treatment and care of hospitalized patients and assist with emergencies. When time permits and materials are available, externs will be given the opportunity to learn procedures such as joint injections, nerve blocks, surgical procedures etc. Most students stay 2 to 4 weeks but any time frame is acceptable. Kendall Road Equine Hospital services the Midwest as both a primary care practice and a referral and consulting resource for veterinarians and their clients. We provide 24 hour care for both medical and surgical emergencies. The hospital and its doctors are available to all horse owners for routine and advanced medical, surgical and diagnostic procedures.
