Apple Valley Animal Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate veterinarian to join our team. We are a family owned, rapidly growing, small animal practice in Hendersonville, NC.  We are a team and family-oriented practice that actively pursues a healthy work/life balance for all our staff. Private ownership allows us to pursue high quality medicine in a comfortable, friendly, and fun environment.  New doctors will appreciate the mentoring atmosphere working with senior veterinarians who enjoy helping younger doctors gain confidence in their skills.  All our staff are committed to improving the lives of our patients through life stage preventive care, individualized treatment plans, and client education. 

Our doctors are committed to professional growth, team building, client education, and are Fear Free certified. Our paperless hospital utilizes Abaxis lab equipment, digital full and dental x-ray, ultrasound, class IV therapy laser, Stance mat, three certified technicians, and an amazing support staff. We have a certified rehabilitation DVM and a certified chiropractic DVM on staff.  In addition to our broad diagnostic and treatment capabilities, we provide general surgical and dental procedures.

Full and part-time positions are available with no On-Call days, nights, or Sundays.  Full time hours are 8:15a to 6:00p with two-hour lunch breaks, four days a week. 

Hendersonville has the features of a much larger city. Carolina School Hub has given Henderson County Schools 9 stars (on a scale of 1 to 10) when compared to other North Carolina counties. We enjoy fine dining, galleries, wineries, craft breweries, parks, a symphony, and Flat Rock Playhouse, the state theater of North Carolina. Asheville Airport, one of the best-connected regional airports in the country is 15 minutes away. Nearby Asheville, NC adds even more to cultural and entertainment options.

Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, we are uniquely located for an active outdoor lifestyle. Nearby Pisgah National Forest, with over 500,000 acres, holds mile-high peaks, waterfalls, and heavily forested mountains with hundreds of miles of trails offers incredible hiking, biking, horseback riding, fly-fishing, and camping opportunities. We have thriving mountain and road biking communities. Tryon Equestrian Center offers world class riding and spectator opportunities. Nearby Lakes Lure, Keowee and Jocassee offer 33,000 acres of watersports and fishing.
