Creek and Meadow Veterinary Hospital, a fast-growing mixed-animal practice in Gretna, Virginia, is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, experienced veterinarian to join our team full-time!
Our staff help drive the success and continued growth of the practice through a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is personable, confident, professional, and detail oriented. Strong communication, organization, customer service skills, and a team-focused attitude are required. Responsibilities
- Determine clients’ needs and wishes; perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures in a way that will deliver high-quality care while minimizing patient discomfort.
- Explain physical examination findings and communicate to the client a diagnosis of the pet’s problems; generate and present a treatment plan for the pet to the client; educate clients on preventative health care, including vaccines, preventive care, and appropriate nutritional products.
- Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept current through established protocols; assist colleagues in follow-up and future management of the patient.
- Maintain licensure, stay current with new information in veterinary medicine, and attend continuing education.

- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
- Licensure in good standing (or ability to obtain licensure) to practice in Virginia
- 2 years’ experience of practicing large and small animal veterinary medicine
- Current, active driver’s license
- Ability to reliably commute and perform the physical duties associated as required in the practice of veterinary medicine
- Professional conduct, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude
- A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics, and staying current with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine.
