Animal Clinic, LLC is looking for an equine associate for our well established large animal practice in Fort Lupton, CO. We currently have 7 large animal veterinarians and are looking for a motivated veterinarian to join our tight knit team. The practice is primarily ambulatory with a haul-in facility available for in-clinic appointments. We are 30 minutes from Denver, Colorado and 1.5 hours from many ski resorts and outdoor activities.
This position will cover general practice with the opportunity to focus in lameness, dentistry, reproduction, or medicine. Registered veterinary technicians (3) and assistants (2) assist with appointments in clinic and in the field. Laptops are used in the field to access Cornerstone software in the field. The practice has 2 DR units, 2 ultrasounds, 4 Powerfloat units with extraction equipment, and in-house diagnostics including CBC/blood chemistry, SAA, and lactate.
The position is 4.5 days per week except for the busy season of March-May (5 days a week). We offer 2 weeks paid vacation, 6 sick/personal days, and 4 days for continuing education. The on-call schedule is a 6-week rotation with the veterinarian receiving the emergency fee of each call. The veterinarian will be expected to provide emergency care while on-call for equine, ruminant, small ruminant, and swine. Mentorship and back-up will be provided if needed based on experience and comfort of the veterinarian.
The benefits package includes a yearly allowance for continuing education, state veterinary license, association dues, and DEA license. We offer a 3% retirement match and cover professional liability and disability insurance. Health Insurance is also covered up to $415 per month. The veterinarian will have a dedicated truck to take home each night. Ownership opportunities may be available in the future.
