The College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) at Oklahoma State University (OSU) is searching to fill two positions for an enthusiastic small animal veterinarian with experience in shelter medicine & surgery and a passion for clinical teaching to join our faculty team.  The shelter medicine and surgery faculty teach third year junior surgery and a fourth-year core rotation in surgical fundamentals of shelter patients.

You will share the duties with five other faculty teaching in Small Animal Junior Surgery and Surgical Fundamentals in Shelter Patients and have the opportunity to actively participate in clinical training the next generation of veterinarians. As faculty, you will participate in clinical teaching, didactic teaching (if desired), and extension activities of the college. Extension activities are focused on participation in and contribution to the development of a rural, mobile spay/neuter program as part of the OSU CVM rural outreach initiative.  

These are full-time career track faculty positions with an excellent benefits package, 4 weeks of vacation and funding support for continuing education travel. Applicants must have a DVM or comparable veterinary degree and be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice veterinary medicine in Oklahoma. In addition, a minimum of 1 year experience in shelter medicine and surgery or general small animal surgery is required. Candidates that have completed a rotating small animal or specialty shelter medicine internship are encouraged to apply.

The OSU CVM is located in Stillwater, OK, which is nestled in north-central Oklahoma, approximately 60 miles from Tulsa and Oklahoma City.
