Our small and exotic animal AAHA accredited private practices in San Antonio are seeking an Associate Veterinarian and accepting senior veterinary externs. Experienced and new graduates welcome to apply; mentorship and training opportunities available. Northern Oaks Bird & Animal Hospital and Heritage Oaks Animal Hospital are successful, privately-owned, locally-managed practices focused on the comprehensive and compassionate care of our patients and their families. We offer 30 minute appointment times in order to focus on the needs of our patients and clients, as well as benefit the doctors and staff. Our goal is to have both healthy patients and healthy doctors. Compassion fatigue and toxic stress are real and present dangers in this profession and we endeavor to combat them at our practice in many ways, including a negotiable salary, generous benefits and a family friendly atmosphere. We have state-of-the-art veterinary hospitals in the northeast suburban area of San Antonio, Texas, just minutes form the hill country and Guadalupe River. Our spacious remodeled 4,900 sf and newer 5,000 sf "paperless" practices are well-equipped, and our fantastic location, mid-affluent clientele, friendly work environment and great support staff, coupled with a high staff to doctor ratio enable our dedication to the highest levels of patient care and client relationships. Our caseload is diverse ranging from dogs, cats and rabbits to bearded dragons, chickens and macaws. We are a Cat Friendly practice with a low-stress handling approach. Internal medicine, preventative medicine, soft tissue surgery and dentistry are our practice's major focus. We complement this with extensive Class IV Cold Laser Therapy and an acupuncture certified veterinarian.
