About Us East Hills Veterinary Hospital is a 5-doctor, AAHA-accredited small animal practice located in Antioch, California. Externship Overview We are seeking motivated 2nd–4th year veterinary students for a paid externship opportunity. Students will gain real-world experience under the guidance of our experienced DVM team and skilled RVTs in a collaborative environment.
What You’ll Experience
Participate in physical exams, diagnostics, and treatment planning
Assist with anesthesia, surgery, and dentistry
Learn client communication and case management
Shadow doctors during appointments and procedures
Exposure to advanced tools including digital radiography, dental x-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab, and electronic medical records
Program Details
Paid externship: $25/hour
Duration: typically 2 weeks
Direct mentorship from a team of experienced veterinarians
