Where You’ll Work:
The newest of our family's three animal hospitals, Shelter Bay in Novi, Michigan which opened January 13th of 2025. We offer an advanced and modern facility in a fear-free environment which combines state of the art technology and equipment, with a collaborative and caring team who are both on site and remote. We're an experienced veterinary medicine family, with two other nearby sister hospitals, one about 20 minutes west called Dandy Acres Animal Hospital and another 30 minutes southwest called Easthaven Animal Hospital in Ann Arbor.
Our Veterinarian Position Offers:
- We pay $120-140k each year to each of our current full time veterinarians, which is made up of $100k-120k base salary, varying on experience and production, plus our benefits package which averages $20k annually for our current highly collaborative team of 9 veterinarians.
- 20 days per year including flexible Paid Time Off/paid holidays/paid CE days
- Work a predictable 4-day work week 8-5or6pm weekdays, every other Saturday 8am-1or2pm, NO ON CALL hours and NO evenings/overnights and NO Sundays.
- Health Insurance: $200 monthly premium contribution, including Vision and Dental insurance.

- Professional Development: Covered license fees, VIN membership, Continuing Education; Extensive collaboration and learning - Dr. McCarthy our 4 decade veterinarian owner sets our protocols and is a resource for our associates, and our three hospitals are connected in real time by video to each other so our doctors can readily put 3-4 DVM heads together for the difficult cases all day long.
- We don't overdo it - we have two appointments per hour per doctor generally, else we're talking about what else we're adding on to the schedule with you.
