Rice Veterinary Services, LLC is located in central Nebraska in the heart of cattle country. Broken Bow, NE is progressive rural community with a population of approximately 3,500. We are a growing two doctor practice, looking to add an associate with buy in potential available. We are a 100% bovine practice with an occasional equine and small ruminant client. The practice is roughly 60% cow/calf and 40% feedlot, no dairy. We are a full ambulatory practice, however haul in facilities available and is equipped with a surgery room. We serve clients in a 70 mile radius, including ranches in the Sandhills as well as feedlots among the crop land. Feedlot contracts include yards from 400 head to 80,000+ head. We are a typical bovine general practice; cow calf work includes pregnancy diagnosis, breeding soundness evaluation, lameness exams, artificial insemination programs, obstetric work, calf processing, disease investigation, etc. Feedlot work includes quality assurance and staff trainings, post-mortem evaluations, health and nutrition protocol development, data analysis and benchmarking, and strategic collaboration with management teams. Relatively low number of afterhours calls, averaging about 3-4 depending on the time of the year. Applicant must be hardworking, reliable, and trustworthy; we work with many wonderful producers and families that allow us to be successful for their herds and operations.
