Plattsburgh Animal Hospital is looking for an Urgent Care/Emergency Veterinarian for the only emergency hospital within 30 miles of Plattsburgh, New York. Our urgent care hospital is open from 6 pm-Midnight for urgent care services, and we provide on-call services from Midnight-8 am. This position would be for 4 shifts per week with a minimum of 2 weekends per month. Key responsibilities:  Diagnose and treat diseases and injuries of pets; primarily dogs and cats Examine animals to determine the nature of disease or injury and treat animals surgically or medically Communicate with referring veterinarians Advise animal owners about sanitary measures, feeding, and general care to promote the health of animals
